On June 3, 2024, Web3 infrastructure innovator GetBlock proudly announced the launch of its cryptocurrency faucet dashboard. Since the initial release, the GetBlock faucet toolkit supports all major L1 and L2 on the Ethereum Virtual Machine.
Starting today, the Ethereum Sepolia and Poligon Amoy testnets are live alongside the Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Scroll, Blast, Linea, and zkSync Sepolia testnets for developers focused on L2.
Welcoming the latest launch, GetBlock CEO Arseniy Voitenko invites all Web3 enthusiasts to try the GetBlock cryptocurrency faucet:
Sepolia and Amoy test networks are the next generation of testing environments that replace Ethereum Goerli and Polygon Mumbai. They are used to allow developers to try out smart contracts and dApps in a risk-free environment. Since the test network tokens have no real value, testing procedures in all of these networks will not result in loss of funds.
All Sepolia faucets are ready for developers
GetBlock’s cryptocurrency faucet is free for all users registered with GetBlock, regardless of their tier: users with free accounts can also claim free test ETH or MATIC from the faucet.
Users can register for GetBlock using an email, Google account, or MetaMask wallet. In paid plans, fiat and cryptocurrencies can be used for payment. GetBlock is the first RPC node provider to combine the advantages of Web3 authorization with support for fiat currency payment methods.
To prevent the faucet from being abused, GetBlock has implemented some restrictions. Crypto faucet users can get 0.02 ETH for free every day. In order to start using GetBlock's testnet faucet, developers should have at least 0.001 ETH in their wallet. These restrictions are to ensure that all developers can get test ETH as quickly as possible.
GetBlock expands its contribution to the global Web3 ecosystem
Through the new GetBlock cryptocurrency faucet, developers will be able to stress-test dApps on major smart contract platforms Polygon and Ethereum, leading L2 Arbitrum and Optimism, and new generation ZK-based platforms Scroll, Linea, Base, and zkSync. This launch is part of GetBlock’s non-profit initiative to support Web3 developers around the world.
As of 2024, GetBlock has released free-to-use block explorers for Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, NEAR Network, Harmony, and more. Through these block explorers, developers and cryptocurrency users can browse blocks, transactions, accounts, validators without writing any code.
In May 2024, GetBlock launched a Marketplace, a specific free-to-use service that indexes the most reliable, popular, and innovative services available to Web3 users.
In addition, GetBlock provides free access to its blockchain node to accounts with 40,000 daily requests. This may not be enough for commercial dApps, but for prototypes and personal use it is the best way to start. GetBlock offers a similar range of blockchains to both free and paid users so that every newbie can try the free version before buying the first paid package.
Last but not least, GetBlock supports the Ophir Institute, a unique educational initiative for the next generation of Web3 creators. Students at the Ophir Institute can build and test their applications on GetBlock's nodes for free. As a cutting-edge cryptocurrency infrastructure company, GetBlock is contributing to the global mission of driving Web3 adoption around the world.
GetBlock connects cryptocurrency applications to more than 50 blockchains, including testnets and mainnets. Its RPC nodes have a working time of more than 99.99% and can be accessed through gRPC, WebSockets or JSON RPC interfaces.
